The College Assistance Migrant Program is a unique educational program funded by the U.S. Department of Education, which helps students from qualifying migrant/seasonal farm work backgrounds to enter and succeed in college. CAMP students receive support through tutoring, mentoring, internship and financial aid assistance, and career exploration. Although CAMP financial aid is only offered through the student’s first academic year of college, CAMP is committed to providing academic support until graduation.

Students Must:

• Complete CAMP program application.
• Be enrolled or admitted for enrollment at Lewis-Clark State College.
• Be a U.S. Citizen or U.S. Permanent Resident.
• Be eligible to receive Financial Aid (FAFSA) by completing the FAFSA application at https://studentaid.gov/h/apply-for-aid/fafsa 
• Desire a four-year or a two-year academic degree.

And meet ONE of the following:

• The student or one of student's immediate family members has worked as a migrant or seasonal farm worker in the areas of agriculture, dairy, fisheries, or forestry for at least 75 days within the last 24 months. (Farm work is considered activity directly related to the production of crops, dairy products, poultry or livestock; or the cultivation or harvesting of trees; or any activity directly related to fish farms. This farm work includes work performed for either wages or personal subsistence on a farm, ranch, or similar establishment.)
• Student has participated in or is eligible to participate in a Chapter I Migrant Education Program. A copy of the Certificate of Eligibility (COE) form or a letter from a family liaison or school official stating current or previous eligibility will verify participation. COE forms can be obtained from a High School Migrant Coordinator.
• Student is qualified or is eligible to qualify for the Workforce Investment Act 167 Program (WIA 167).  Community Council of Idaho provides this service.

Funding: The grant is 100% federally funded from the US Department of Education at $456,274 annually.
